There are no new details Monday on the death of a 23-year-old Lincoln woman whose remains were identified over the weekend.

The Lincoln Police Department said Monday morning the case of Carly Schaaf is still ongoing, as city and Lancaster County investigators look for more details. Brian Jackson, interim Lincoln Police Department chief, said, after an autopsy, the cause and manner of Schaff's death is unknown, and her disappearance on May 17 was suspicious.

"Based on the manner of the investigation, we're holding fairly close," Jackson said.

LPD and the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office declined to comment on the condition of Schaaf's body or how long it had been at Pawnee Lake, which is located less than 10 miles west of Lincoln. The body was discovered on Thursday by investigators searching the area around the lake. The woman was reported missing on May 19 by her mother.
