In partnership with Sheldon Museum of Art, ECHO Collective and Nebraska Public Media, join us for a special screening of the ECHO Collective episode from the award-winning series “What If ...” hosted by Mike Tobias. Following the screening, guests will hear from featured entrepreneur Mo Nimic and ECHO Collective founder Kelly Ross during a conversation about creativity, entrepreneurship and community impact in Nebraska. This free event is open to the public, and registration is encouraged.

Join Nebraska Public Media for a special Volleyball 101 event, featuring Assistant Husker Volleyball Coach Brennan Hagar. During the hour-long event, guests will hear from Nebraska Assistant Volleyball Coach Brennan Hagar about his work with the Husker Volleyball team. Hagar will also host a film breakdown session to get an inside look at what strategies we’re employing and what the coaches are seeing on the court followed by a question and-answer session with the audience. Light breakfast provided.

You're invited to be part of the audience for a live recording of Backyard Farmer. Travel to lakeside Yanney Heritage Park, known for its gardens, trails and iconic observation tower, as host Kim Todd and a panel of Nebraska Extension experts answer your lawn and garden questions. The evening will begin with hands-on family activities at 3:15 p.m. CT, followed by a Q&A at 4:15 p.m. CT and the live recording at 5:00 p.m. CT. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair or blanket.

Join us for a live broadcast of our weekly arts and entertainment radio program featuring music and conversation celebrating arts and culture in southeast Nebraska. Guests will enjoy a preview of the Nebraska Harp Retreat, a performance by Julie Smith Philips of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, music from the Bel Canto Duo, live poetry readings and more. This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. CT.

500 Mile Sculpture Garden Screening - June 30
Join us for a special screening of "500 Mile Sculpture Garden", a 1976 documentary produced by Nebraska Public Media exploring Nebraska’s visionary I-80 Bicentennial Sculpture Project. The archival film follows the project from artist selection through public debate and the dedication of the sculptures on July 4, 1976, capturing the collaboration and controversy surrounding contemporary public art in Nebraska. This event is free and open to everyone. Registration is encouraged.

America 250 Community Celebration - July 18
Join Nebraska Public Media and the International Quilt Museum for a free, family-friendly open house celebrating stories that connect us. This event marks the culmination of a year-long America 250 initiative inspired by The American Revolution, a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Bostein and David Schmidt. Explore the new Material Nation exhibition of 250+ objects, including quilts, tools and historical pieces. Enjoy hands-on activities, an ongoing screening reel and art created at previous events.
