Childcare providers in Nebraska have two new grant opportunities from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. The grants together are worth up to $15 million. The two grants are need-based and are processed through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The Restoration and Enhancement Program offers funding for facility improvement both indoors and outdoors.

The Technology Access Program offers opportunities for enhanced cyber security for childcare providers as well as educational programs.

DHHS will offer five live informational sessions about the application process: three in English and two in Spanish.

Applications will close on Feb. 9. Awards for the Restoration and Enhancement program grant will be announced shortly after. Whereas, the Technology Access program awards will be made on a rolling basis until all funds are disbursed.
