The Nebraska men’s and women’s basketball teams are both ranked in the Associated Press polls this week. The programs haven’t been ranked at the same time since Nov. 17, 2014.

The women’s team ranks 24th this week, while the men’s team ranks 23rd. Both teams are 9-0 this year. Nebraska is one of three Division I programs with undefeated basketball teams in the men’s and women’s ranks. Iowa State and Vanderbilt are the other two.

It’s the first time the media has ranked the Nebraska men’s program since 2018.

The men’s team owns the longest active winning streak in Division I at 13 games. That’s dating back to the inaugural postseason tournament called "The Crown" last season, which the Huskers won.

The streak will be tested, with Big Ten play starting this week for the Nebraska men’s team. The Cornhuskers face off with Wisconsin at home on Wednesday and hit the road to play against No. 13 Illinois on Saturday.

The women’s team will compete against Omaha on Tuesday and Illinois State on Sunday. Both of those games are at home.
