Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln is currently showing a professional Holocaust exhibit from the United States Holocaust Museum. The school is the only library in Nebraska presenting the display.

Julie Pinnell with the university said an interactive map is included in the content at the library.

“It’s a map of the United States and you touch a state that you want to read the newspaper articles that appeared during the period of time that this covers, which is from the 1930s and 40s,” Pinnell said, “so you can see what Americans actually knew about Nazism and genocide that was happening.”

Documentary films will be playing at the library.

A class at NWU is centered around the exhibit and includes speakers who come to talk with the students. Pinnell said students do research projects and also learn about the struggles Japanese Americans experienced during World War II.

The historical exhibit will be at Wesleyan’s library from now until November 17th.
