A Gift in a Will or Living Trust
Direct a percentage of your estate, a specific dollar amount, or the residue of your estate to the Nebraska Public Media Foundation.
To help you get started, we’ve partnered with Giving Docs, an online will-writing tool that is entirely free to you. This tool is available whether you choose to include a gift to Nebraska Public Media Foundation or not. Retirement Plan Assets
Name the Nebraska Public Media Foundation as a beneficiary of an individual retirement account (IRA) or other retirement plan (such as 401(k) or 403(b) plans). To get started, request a Beneficiary Designation Form or a Beneficiary Change Form from your retirement plan administrator.
Life Insurance
To give from a life insurance policy, name the Nebraska Public Media Foundation as the owner and beneficiary of the policy, or retain ownership of your policy and name Nebraska Public Media Foundation as a full or partial beneficiary.
Charitable Gift Annuities
Charitable gift annuities can be established with cash, appreciated stock, or a one-time Qualified Charitable Distribution from an Individual Retirement Account. Charitable gift annuities can provide you and/or other designated individuals with payments for life or for a fixed number of years.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
A charitable remainder trust allows you to make a future gift to the Nebraska Public Media Foundation and receive payments for life or for a period of years for you and/or other individuals. Charitable remainder trusts are often established with cash, appreciated stock or real estate.
Charitable Lead Trusts
A charitable lead trust allows you the right to have the principal returned to you or pass to others while supporting Nebraska Public Media with income payments for a specified term. Charitable lead trusts are often established with cash or appreciated stock.

Unless otherwise directed, your gift will benefit the Nebraska Public Media Foundation Endowment. This flexible fund operates as an endowment with the principal restricted by board policy. Interest earned is used for operations, programming and special projects every year.
If you prefer to select an alternative designation, you may specify one or more of the following endowed funds:
- General Fund for TV Programming
Supporting creation and acquisition of television programming. - General Fund for Radio Programming
Supporting creation and acquisition of radio programming. - Ron Hull Fund for Telling Nebraska’s Stories
Supporting the creation of original television productions about Nebraska such as Nebraska Stories, Big Red Wrap Up and documentaries like Beyond the Baton. - Cheloha Family Fund for Education
Supporting the creation of educational content and work with schools, teachers, libraries, and families statewide. - Sports Partners Endowed Fund
Supporting coverage of Nebraska high school and college sports and sports-related content such as State of Volleyball and Big Red Wrap-Up.
