Ron Hull Remembers: Chief Standing Bear

The story of Ponca Chief Standing Bear is iconic, not only because of its importance in Nebraska history, but also because of its significance in the spectrum of this country's relationship with Native Americans. In 1988, The Trial of Standing Bear re-enacted the story of the Ponca Chief's fight to return to his homeland. The 2011 documentary Standing Bear's Footstepsbrought the story to the screen again, this time including the Ponca perspective in his amazing story.
