Air Date: 10/14/2024
A long-standing sentinel of the Northern Great Plains, Chimney Rock guided Indigenous people and 19th-century emigrants through the North Platte River Valley. Rising 470 feet above the surrounding landscape, the landmark appears in approximately 95% of the diaries kept by emigrants who passed it during The Great Migration.
