“The Ultimate Husker Fan” Steve Harley may be the ultimate Husker fan. Since 1969, he's created a scrapbook for every season of Husker football. That's 700 pounds of memories. “Away Games” Go on the road with the Cornhusker Marching Band to the Holiday Bowl to see what it’s like to travel, practice, and perform with these dedicated musicians who represent over 60 academic majors at the University of Nebraska. “The Forgotten Artist” Artist Dale Nichols (David City) took his childhood memories of rural Nebraska landscapes and turned them into paintings. Today they are national treasures. “Avenue Scholars” A group of Omaha philanthropists found an inventive way to help struggling high school kids transform their lives. Begun in 2008, the Avenue Scholars program has met with continued success – just like the students it serves. “A Promise Kept” In 1877, at the request of her grieving parents, the people of Neligh agreed to care for the grave of a Ponca Indian girl. Since that day, the town has tended the grave and recently, the tribe said thank you in a special ceremony.
