Darrell Scott: I'll Meet You in a Song

Featured on the album Scott made with his brothers, “I’ll Meet You in a Song” draws on gospel tradition, The Band and John Lennon to imagine music as common ground—where disagreement can give way to harmony. Four-time Grammy nominee Darrell Scott has been called “a musician’s musician and songwriter’s songwriter” and “a master wordsmith” whose songs have become part of the roots-music vernacular. His songs have been recorded by some of music’s biggest names, including the Chicks, Travis Tritt and Patty Loveless. A recipient of the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Scott is known for deeply personal, finely crafted songs rooted in family, place and lived experience.
