Friday LIVE

Air Date: 06/01/2007

This week on Friday Live, The Sheldon Art Gallery's annual JAZZ IN JUNE series gets underway during each Tuesday in June. Another reason to get an early seat this year is the opening act; the delightful String Beans Trio! String Bean Curtis Bright drops by, as does Jazz in June chair and NET Television producer, Martha Florence. Joslyn Art Museum curator John Wilson travels over to Friday Live to preview the Jolsyn's upcoming exhibit of works from the New Orleans Musuem of Art. The Joslyn premieres SPARED FROM THE STORM, nearly 90 of NOMA's finest works that survived Hurricane Katrina. Also, LOVE'S LABOURS LOST is the next production of the Flatwater Shakespeare Company, opening at the Swan Theatre in Lincoln next Thursday. Director Bob Hall drops by with a few of the actors this Friday Live. And, a preview of all the cowboy themed exhibits at the Hastings Museum. All that, some poetry from William Kloefkorn and a statewide arts calendar on this week's Friday Live.
