In Crete, Nebraska many Hispanic families have been attracted by jobs at the Farmland meatpacking plant. Now, nearly 50 percent of students in Crete public schools are minority. Brent Meier of El Centro de Las Americas in Lincoln and Elisabeth Reinkordt of the Nebraska Department of Education have made a film called "When We Stop Counting" to look at the way the schools handled the change. They stopped by NET to talk about that film and what they believe has worked well in Crete..

A screening of When We Stop Counting is scheduled for Tuesday night at The Ross in Lincoln.
