The University of Nebraska Omaha men’s basketball team is making history this season.
The Mavericks will play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since making the jump to Division I in 2011.
For the first time ever, Omaha won the Summit League Conference Tournament, defeating the University of St. Thomas on Sunday. That means the Mavericks will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Omaha has won 22 games this season. It’s the most single-season wins for the program, since moving up to Division I.
The school will find out its first round tournament matchup during the selection show at 5 p.m. Central Time on Sunday.
