The University of Nebraska-Lincoln says it’s expanding its COVID-19 testing capabilities to include more on-campus testing. Starting this weekend, a test site will be available in a parking garage at 17th and R streets. The site will be open from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.. Appointments are still required and the testing is part of the TestNebraska program.

The school also says it will begin enhanced testing for students in quarantine and starting next week, will begin a randomized mitigation testing program where students, faculty and staff will be picked for random tests. They’ll receive emails providing instructions on how to be tested.

The school is also asking students under quarantine to stay on campus and not return to their permanent homes. As of Wednesday, there have been 675 positive tests for UNL students, faculty and staff.
