3-D may be the latest trend in film and television, but scientists at the University of Nebraska Lincoln are learning more about a process they are calling 4-D imaging. It's not for movies. It's for scientitsts who want to be able to see what is happening to an atom. A recent experiment by UNL physicist Anthony Starace and graduate assistant Hua-Chieh Shao shows how scientists could develop a 21st century version of rapid-motion photography at an atomic level.
