The University of Nebraska-Lincoln announced today it will move all spring semester classes online after March 30th due to the spread of COVID-19.

Classes next week, March 16th through March 20th, will be cancelled. The week of March 23rd is UNL's spring break.

UNL Chancellor Ronnie Green announced the measures in a letter this afternoon after the university closed all athletic events to the public this morning.

The university, including student housing, will remain open during this time. Students are encouraged to return home, but the university will "continue to support" those who are unable to leave the residence halls.

Today's announcement also included the suspension of all non-essential university sponsored travel, and the cancellation of all summer study-abroad programs through June 30th.
