The University of Nebraska at Kearney will make improvements to its Central Green space by adding a new sculpture as the focal point. Set to be installed by this fall, the sculpture features three steel arches measuring 40 feet at their peak and 47 feet wide and will be surrounded by four concrete performance stages and seating.

University director of business services, Michael Christen said they are hoping the sculpture will transform the space.

"This piece is going to be the center piece for our University village development. It's really going to be a focal point and really encourage people to the site and really create that collaboration space that we’re looking for.”

Funded through private donations, the sculpture will cost $1.3 million to create and install.
