The Fremont Police Department said in a statement Friday morning that officers have identified and located the driver of a vehicle that struck a student during a student-led protest at Fremont High School. The department said the driver is a juvenile, and it did not release a name.

On Thursday, the police department responded to a call that a student was hit by a vehicle in front of the high school. Emergency crews took the student to the hospital. No further updates have been provided on the student’s condition.

The department said its investigation into the crash is still ongoing, and it will provide updates on whether charges are filed against the driver after the completion of the investigation.

Video captured by News Channel Nebraska shows the young driver entering his vehicle, which had a Trump campaign flag on the back. The driver appears to proceed forward, slows down, and then accelerates, striking the student attending the protest. After the crash, the driver stopped momentarily, then left the scene.

According to News Channel Nebraska, students at the school were protesting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement following the killings of two people by federal agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
