A health clinic in Omaha is awarding $250 to one COVID-19 vaccine recipient each day as an incentive to get the shots. Everyone who gets vaccinated at OneWorld Health in Omaha is entered in a daily drawing.

Andrea Skolkin is the CEO of OneWorld and said the health center’s ‘COVID Team’ considered doing this for a while.

“We had looked at it early on,” she said. “[We] didn’t think it was probably the right time, but with the new Delta variant kind of ramping up in our community, we thought it was the right time to do it.”

For those who need it, the clinic is offering in-home vaccinations and those people will also be entered to win the daily award.

Skolkin said the daily drawings will go until Labor Day. She said the program hopes to vaccinate more people before school resumes.
