The Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition is hosting a vaccination event Tuesday for those 12 to 18 years old. In partnership with the North Omaha Area Health clinic, the event will feature a DJ as well as hourly drawings for gift cards and other prizes.

CEO of the Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition Dr. Donna Polk said the event is a way to encourage youth to get vaccinated.

"We know that a lot of young people will be engaged in a lot of different activities this summer. It's important that they get the two doses of the Pfizer vaccine so they don’t have to worry about getting COVID-19.”

The event will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. in the North Omaha Area Health clinic parking lot, located at 5620 Ames Ave in Omaha. Anyone under the age of 19 years old will need parental consent and a guardian in attendance to get the Pfizer vaccine. To make an appointment contact Nicole LaMere at 402-541-3022.
