The Nebraska State High School Basketball tournament will be held in-person next month at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Following the Lincoln-Lancaster county health department guidelines, fans will be allowed up to 75% of the arena’s capacity. Assistant Director of the NSAA, Jon Dolliver said it is a big deal for students to be able to play in a large venue and to be able to have fans this year makes it that much more exciting.

"When you go back to last March we hosted the girls' championship and we had record crowds. And then within less than a week we were holding games with immediate family only. You know playing in a big empty building is not something that people want to do, so I anticipate a lot of excitement.”

The Girls’ championship will be held from March 2nd to the 6th, and the Boys’ tournament will be held from March 9th to the 13th. Last year’s Boys' tournament was played at the very beginning of the pandemic and only a small number of fans were allowed to attend.
