Nebraska’s November unemployment rate continues to shrink and set records for the lowest ever in U.S. history.

Just 1.8% of Nebraskans were unemployed in November, according to data from the Nebraska Department of Labor and Bureau of Labor Statistics. That figure maintains Nebraska’s title as the state with the lowest rate in the country.

The state’s October rate – at 1.9 percent – earned Nebraska the lowest record since the country began tracking unemployment, the Associated Press reported last month.

In the Kearney area, 0.9% of people in the area drew unemployment in November, according to the Nebraska DOL. The Omaha area holds the highest unemployment at 1.5%. Utah follows the Cornhusker state at 2.1%.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated 1.8% of Nebraskans filed for unemployment in November.
