Nebraska extends softball coach Revelle’s contract through 2031

Nebraska softball head coach Rhonda Revelle had her contract extended through 2031, the athletic department announced on Wednesday. She has served as head coach at NU for 34 years.

Revelle’s salary was $310,000 during the 2026 season. That will be bumped up to $375,000 ahead of the 2027 season, according to her new contract published on the university’s website. The coach’s salary will increase by $10,000 per year, following the 2027 season.

Revelle can also receive bonuses as a percentage of her base salary. That means in a given year she could receive anywhere from a 5% pay bump for making the NCAA Tournament to a 25% increase for a national championship.

This spring, Revelle led Nebraska to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in 13 years. The Big Red also finished the season with a 52-8 overall record, going 1-2 in the World Series. NU’s .867 winning percentage this spring was the best in school history.

“I am passionate and energetic to continue our quest for excellence,” Revelle said in a press release. “We are blessed to have assembled the staff we have. They are talented, smart, hardworking and all in on Nebraska Softball. We are excited to get our team on the field and build something special together."

Revelle reworked the staff’s responsibilities after the departure of pitching coach Lori Sippel, who retired after 34 years with the program. The news release said Revelle will work with pitchers more moving forward. Diane Miller, who leads the offense and works with catchers, has been promoted to associate head coach. Miller has coached at Nebraska for 19 years now. Mandie Nocita, director of video technology, analytics and player development, was promoted to assistant coach.

Some other familiar faces will stick around in Lincoln next spring. Four Huskers on the 2026 College World Series team join the staff. School record holder at the plate and in the circle Jordy Frahm will be an assistant coach. Hannah Coor and Hannah Camenzind will hold the title of graduate assistants, and Lauren Camenzind will be a graduate manager.
