Nebraska baseball will be playing at home in the postseason for the first time since 2008.

The top 16 seeds and regional hosts for the NCAA Baseball Tournament were announced on Sunday night. The tournament starts with the four-team, double elimination regional round on Friday. The Huskers and the rest of the college baseball world will find out the complete field of 64 teams at 11 a.m. on Monday.

The Huskers haven’t made the College World Series since 2005. This year’s team, led by seventh-year head coach Will Bolt, finished the regular season and Big Ten Tournament with a 42-15 overall record. In the all-important RPI rankings, which help determine postseason seeding, Nebraska currently sits at No. 10. NU, the No. 2 seed with a 23-7 Big Ten record, advanced to the conference tournament semifinals on Saturday, before falling to No. 3 seed Oregon.

According to a news release from Husker Athletics, tickets will go on sale to the public on Tuesday at 3 p.m. A tiered sale for Nebraska Athletics donors and season-ticket holders will be available before the rest of the public can purchase, the athletic department said.
