The flight of Space Shuttle Mission 131 is one of only three remaining manned space flights scheduled for American crews. The primary mission is to bring fresh equipment and supplies to the International Space Station orbiting the earth. The crew will haul nearly 65 thousand pounds of gear to the station and then fill the payload bay back up with a host of items that will be taken back to earth.
