Listening sessions held in search for next UNK chancellor

The search for the next chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Kearney continues with listening sessions planned for next week.

Students, faculty, staff and community members can share what qualities they want to see from the next chancellor. The sessions are next Monday and Tuesday at the UNK Regional Engagement Center in room 120.

Monday, Nov. 18 times are:

  • Faculty listening session at 3 p.m.
  • Student listening session at 5 p.m. (food provided)
  • Community member listening session at 7:15 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 19 times are:

  • Faculty listening session at 9 a.m.
  • Dean and vice chancellor listening session at 10:30 a.m.
  • Staff listening session at noon (lunch provided).

Interim chancellor Charlie Bicak came out of retirement to take over the role during the search process. Former chancellor Doug Kristensen retired at the end of May after 22 years.
