The University of Nebraska Volleyball squad plays a North Carolina college Friday night in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Husker Head Coach John Cook said the Campbell Fighting Camels utilize rare formations and have a different playing style than his team is used to seeing.

“They run people all over the place, so it’s kind of confusing, in a way, because we don’t see that in the Big Ten,” Cook said, “so we’ll have to prepare well and make sure our players don’t get caught up in all that, and just play volleyball.”

The winner of Kansas State and Florida State, who compete in Lincoln tonight as well, play the winner of Nebraska and Campbell on Saturday. The team that survives the four team pod in Lincoln will advance to the Sweet 16.

Campbell is making its first ever NCAA Tournament appearance in the sport. The Fighting Camels finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak, with a 21-9 record. Nebraska finished the regular season with a 21-7 record and second in the Big Ten Conference standings.
