Nebraska assistant volleyball coach Jordan Larson is leaving the program.

The announcement was made by Head Coach John Cook, who thanked the gold medalist and Nebraska native for her work as a coach.

"Following the season, Jordan Larson informed me that she has decided to move on from being part of our coaching staff,” Cook wrote. “While I am disappointed we won't have her on staff anymore, I am thankful to Jordan for all that she has done for our program over these past two seasons, helping us go 66-5 with trips to the NCAA Final and NCAA Semifinals. It wasn't easy for her while balancing the Olympics and a professional playing career at the same time, but she gave everything she had to our players and to the Nebraska volleyball program and she will be missed. It has been fun watching Jordan begin her LOVB Omaha career and we hope she has a great season."

Larson joined the team as an assistant coach in 2023.

In 2021, Larson led the U.S. Women's Volleyball team to first Olympic volleyball gold medal in Tokyo. She was the team captain and received Most Valuable Player honors.

As a Husker, Larson was a part of some of the greatest teams in program history from 2005 to 2008 and was inducted into the Nebraska Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020.

She helped Nebraska to a top-five NCAA Tournament finish in each of her four seasons. The Huskers went 127-8 during her career with four Big 12 Conference titles and three trips to the NCAA semifinals, including the 2006 national title and a runner-up finish in 2005.
