Military officials say they learned many lessons on the fly while handling an unprecedented attack on US soil on September 11th, 2001. One of those who tried gathering any information they could that day was Jim Conrad, who served at the Chief of Intelligence at the National Airborne Operation Center. 20 years ago, he experienced 9/11 at Strategic Command.

Jackie Ourada, with Nebraska Public Media News, sat down with Conrad, who spoke on how STRATCOM weathered the attacks and what he says the country needs to keep in mind moving forward.
