Husker football head coach Matt Rhule announced another shake-up to the offensive coaching staff Monday.
Dana Holgorsen will be calling plays in the matchup against the University of Southern California on Saturday.
Holgorsen will serve as the offensive coordinator for the rest of the season, Rhule said during a press conference. The head coach hired Holgorsen as a consultant last week.
Former offensive coordinator, Marcus Satterfield, will now coach tight ends.
The Cornhuskers haven’t surpassed 28 points against Big Ten opponents this season.
In each of the last four games, Nebraska’s offense has gained less than 330 yards.
Holgorsen has coordinated several top ten offenses at Texas Tech, Houston and Oklahoma State before becoming a head coach at West Virginia and Houston.
As a head coach, he won the Big East Conference Championship and the Orange Bowl in his first season at West Virginia.
In Holgorsen’s last 12 seasons as a head coach at West Virginia and Houston, he coached two 10-win teams. He was fired from Houston in 2023.
