The next time you order food or drinks at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, it will likely come from a different company.

Aramark Sports and Entertainment will serve food, beer and other drinks at Husker football, volleyball and soccer games. The Philadelphia-based company agreed to a 10-year, $10 million contract with the University, according to a University Board of Regents agenda (pg. 31). The athletic department is expected to receive $5.8 million of commissioned revenue each year.

The contract still requires approval from the University of Nebraska Board of Regents. The Board voted to approve alcohol sales at all university athletic events last fall.

Aramark provides concessions for several large colleges and National Football League organizations including experience with alcohol sales.

The new contract would replace the school’s partnership with Valentino’s offshoot, Premier Catering, for game day food and drinks.
