Grand Island Public Schools are teaming up with the Central District Health department to hold vaccination clinics at the West High School gym this week.

Superintendent Dr. Tawana Grover said the clinics are open to all families and students aged 16 and up in the Grand Island area.

"We want to do our part in helping to keep as many of our folks here in the city of Grand Island safe, and making sure that they have access to the vaccine in a way that is a time that works for them, a location that they're familiar with," she said. "Increasing that access will allow us to increase the number of vaccines that are in the arms of the folks here, and that alone will continue to help keep our students safe.

Clinics will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow, and from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday. Interpreters will be present to help families check in. Students under 19 need parental consent. Visit vaccinate.ne.gov to register.
