More than a thousand miles from the 9/11 attacks, U.S. Strategic Command in Bellevue, Nebraska played an integral part in collecting intelligence and briefing President George W. Bush on what was known at the time of the September 11th plane crashes.

Dr. Mark Kyriss, the current Chief of Defense Policy of U.S. Strategic Command, sat down with Nebraska Public Media's Jackie Ourada to talk about that day and what we learned from 9/11.
