Two Omaha churches received notes threatening gun violence if the “right to abortion in Bellevue is taken away,” and now the FBI is asking for the public's help identifying the suspects.

The incidents took place in December 2022, and the FBI began seeking information on May 23 about the notes, which were signed “Sincerely, Jane’s Revenge.”

In a statement, investigators identified the vehicle as a 1998-2004 tan or silver Chevrolet pickup truck. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information that leads to the identification and conviction of those responsible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Omaha Field Office at (402) 493-8688 or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov.

There was no explanation in the news release from the FBI about why a reward was being offered now, several months after the incident.

Gov. Jim Pillen signed legislation to ban abortion after 12 weeks on May 22.
