The FBI and tribal law enforcement are investigating allegations of sexual abuse at a school on the Santee Sioux Reservation.
On Friday, the FBI re-issued a request for public assistance in identifying victims of sexual abuse at Isanti Community Schools in Santee, Nebraska. The agency did not provide additional information about the investigation.
The FBI announcement comes months after the Santee Sioux Nation Tribal Police Department said on social media that the department and the FBI were investigating sexual misconduct allegations at the school.
People with information relevant to the investigation are encouraged to call the FBI at 402-493-8688, option 7.
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the Isanti Community School district enrolled a total of 208 students in the 2024-2025 school year. The vast majority of students in the district are Native American.
The Santee Sioux Reservation is located on about 9,449 acres of land in Knox County along the border with South Dakota.
