Several buyers aren't ready to flush away their Memorial Stadium memories.

As the 100-plus-year-old sporting venue gets a makeover, the Nebraska athletic department is partnering with Rare Goods to sell off items that won’t be part of the renovated stadium. The most talked about and one of the highest-priced items isn’t a piece of the turf or locker room.

It’s the urinal troughs.

The announcement of the sale of the urinal troughs drew widespread attention on social media. But buyers are backing up the hype. The athletic department said Thursday that six people have already shelled out $3,000 each for that particular piece of stadium history.

According to the memorabilia website, there are 34 troughs left for sale.

Other pieces being sold include a locker, stadium seats and benches, signage, drinking fountains, photos and much more.
