Creighton University Volleyball hosts Ole Miss Thursday night to begin its national title chase in the NCAA tournament.

Bluejays’ Head Coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth said Creighton’s first round opponent will pose a unique challenge.

“They run a really fast-tempo offense. They’re really good offensively, especially out of serve-receive,” Booth said. “I think they serve really aggressively. Again, the tempo is the biggest difference. They run different things than a lot of teams run. That prep over the last four days has been really important, I think, for our team.”

Creighton enters the match on a 13-game winning streak and a 30-3 overall record. Ole Miss won just a single match last season, but turned things around this season. They finished the regular season 21-8.

The winner between Creighton and Ole Miss will take on the winner of Kansas and Oregon. That game will be Friday, with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line.
