At a press conference Monday, Bernthal Booth said Creighton Volleyball staff and student athletes were family.

“Just like a family, you spend a lot of time together. You sometimes get on each other's nerves. You can have candid and honest conversations,” Bernthal Booth said. “You have joy when they have joy. You hurt when they hurt. You love each other unconditionally.”

Bernthal Booth earned national coach of the year recognition three times and led the Bluejays to two Elite Eight appearances in the NCAA volleyball tournament, including last season. Her 502 wins are the most in school history.

The 2024 Bluejays set a school record for most wins in a season with 32. Bernthal Booth leaves Creighton having won 11 straight Big East regular season championships.

Associate head coach Brian Rosen will take over the program. Rosen previously coached Division II Nova Southeastern, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for three seasons. He had a 45-17 record as the head coach.
