Everyday Nebraskans could be seen on SportsCenter later this year.
ESPN’s flagship show will broadcast in Nebraska this summer during the Cornhusker State Games.
Ashley Kramer, director of operatios for the games, said it's an honor.
“There's, I think, a lot of different events that happen around our state that are notable,” Kramer said, “so being the one chosen from our state is very cool.”
The Nebraska segment will air at 7 a.m. on July 15.
The ESPN flagship program will film the events, scenes and potentially some highlights from July 11-13. The show is hitting all 50 states this summer to showcase “the full spectrum of American sports fandom.”
This is the first time SportsCenter has hit the road since 2005.
According to ESPN spokesperson Andy Hall, SportsCenter has visited Nebraska at least once before, which was on Aug. 31, 2005. The broadcast was recorded at a Nebraska Cornhusker football practice as a part of the SportsCenter Across America tour.
The Cornhusker State Games run from July 10-20.
