Nebraska’s starting quarterback throughout much of 2025 is leaving the team, but plans to stay in the Big Ten.
Sophomore signal caller Dylan Raiola announced his commitment to the University of Oregon on Monday morning on social media.
The Cornhuskers will visit the Ducks next season as a part of a tough conference schedule. The date of that contest is yet to be announced.
Raiola ended his career at Nebraska with a 69% completion percentage, 4,819 yards passing, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He improved on his freshman campaign by throwing for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions this year, before breaking his fibula in the second half against USC on Nov. 1.
Including the comeback win for USC that night, Raiola led the Huskers to a 6-3 record in 2025. The Big Red struggled without him under center, ending the season on a three-game losing streak and finishing with a 7-6 overall record. The last three losses came by an average of 24 points.
In recent days, the Huskers received commitments from University of Nevada Las Vegas quarterback Anthony Colandrea and University of Virginia backup and former Husker Daniel Kaelin in the transfer portal. They will likely return freshman quarterback TJ Lateef as well, who started in Raiola’s absence.
Raiola arrived at Nebraska as a former five-star recruit, with loads of expectations and hype. Nebraska went 13-9 in games Raiola started in the last two seasons.
Raiola is the son of legendary Husker offensive lineman Dominic Raiola, who had his No. 54 jersey retired. The sophomore is also the nephew of former offensive line coach Donovan Riaola, who was let go shortly after the end of the regular season.
