A Lincoln bus service will offer transportation on Husker football game days this year, Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced Wednesday.

The “Big Red Express” is run by StarTran, Lincoln’s public transportation system.

From two hours prior to each game until 45 minutes before kickoff, people can get a ride from one of the following four places: the Gateway Mall, South Pointe Pavilions, North Star High School and Lincoln Northwest High School.

Round trip tickets purchased in advance are $13 per adult and $7 per child. Tickets bought on gameday are $15 per adult and $10 per child round trip. The Big Red Express won’t take one way tickets or bills higher than $20.

Big Red Express season tickets, which are good for all home games, can also be purchased for $65.

Husker fans can buy tickets in advance at the StarTran office in downtown Lincoln or on the Token Transit App.
