The Nebraska Women’s basketball team has raced out to a 12-0 record, but remains unranked in the major polls.
The Huskers undefeated start includes seven wins against top-100 teams, according to the NCAA 'NET' rankings. Assistant Head Coach Chuck Love said his team’s attitude has sparked the fast start.
“Our skill set as far as just being tough [has helped], just a tough, gritty team. We try to lean our hats on that, just playing hard every single possession,” Love said, “taking each possession one at a time, and that all just comes from being consistent, doing those little things, just being selfless.”
The Huskers are one of just five remaining undefeated teams in Division One. Despite its 12-0 record, the team isn’t ranked in the Top 25 for the Associated Press Poll or Coaches Poll.
Up next for the Huskers is a seven-win Michigan State team on the road, to tip-off the Big Ten Conference slate.
