Yeti’s, “Tree People,” or Bigfoot.

Whatever you call them, if you believe such creatures walk the earth then you might consider attending the 4th Annual Bigfoot Festival, this Friday and Saturday in Hastings.

Harriet Mcfeely is the owner of the Bigfoot Crossroads of America Museum in Hastings and is hosting the event like she's done every year since she founded the convention in 2017.

“What we do is we will give you the facts and you know we like to have artifacts or pictures or whatever to illustrate our point, and so we give you all these facts and then you can kind of run it through your head and then you can make up your own mind,” says Mcfeely.

While the existence of Bigfoot is up for debate, Mcfeely says the tourism generated by the conference is very real.

“The last conference we had, we had over 750 people come, and they came from 14 States and from 9 foreign countries.”

The conference will bring together experts from around the world including keynote speaker Igor Burtsev of Russia, who was once a member of a yeti expedition.
