Lora Black

Lora Black retired after 30 years in Nebraska public radio, working all the shifts, but was hired for weekend mornings (7 years), then moved on to Afternoon Concert, Classics by Request, and All Things Considered. In retirement, she loves to travel, spend time in her garden, play with grandkids, and now, she’s 'baaaaccck' as an on-call sub, as needed. Her love of classical music and all things public radio will never disappear from her life.

She began her career as a weekend board operator at South Carolina Public Radio in Columbia, where she fell in love with radio and worked her way up through the public media industry. In addition to her experience producing fresh, engaging local radio stories, she has managed national radio productions. Bradberry comes to Nebraska by way of Athens, Ga., where she was the Senior Business Manager and Traffic Director. When she’s not listening to the radio, Cathy enjoys watching movies at home with her husband, Robert, and snuggling with their dogs, Bob and Rosie.

Penelope Morrow is the afternoon host at Nebraska Public Media, bringing you classical music on "Afternoon Concert" and "Classics by Request." She also writes and produces "The Verge: Arcade," a monthly segment exploring the stories and music of video games. From watching her father play DOOM at probably too early an age, to uncontrollably weeping at the end credits of Undertale at 26, Penny has a somewhat-healthy relationship with the artistic medium of games. She grew up in Kenesaw, Nebraska, and now lives in Lincoln with her fiancé Mack and their cat, Casta.
