NET to Broadcast Two Congressional District Debates

LINCOLN, Neb. (Sept. 24, 2020) – NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations, will host two live hour-long debates with candidates for Congress during October.

In “Nebraska Debate 2nd Congressional District 2020,” Republican incumbent Don Bacon will debate Democratic challenger Kara Eastman at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

In “Nebraska Debate 1st Congressional District 2020,” Democratic challenger Kate Bolz will debate Republican incumbent Jeff Fortenberry at 8 p.m. CT on Monday, Oct. 12.

Both debates will originate from the Ron Hull Studio at NET in Lincoln and will be broadcast on NET’s television and radio channels, with live streaming on Facebook, netNebraska.org and the NET Nebraska App.

NET News Director Dennis Kellogg will moderate both debates.

The debates are part of NET’s “Campaign Connection 2020” coverage, a multiplatform effort that focuses on Nebraska contests and issues, as well as the race for the White House.
