Nebraska Public Media’s ‘JAM’ Music Series Features New Talent and Original Music

LINCOLN, Neb. (April 15, 2025) – From established bands to solo artists, Nebraska Public Media’s “JAM” series features music from Nebraska’s best known and emerging talent. Three new episodes air Fridays, May 2, 9 and 16 at 9 p.m. CT on Nebraska Public Media.

With intimate interviews and stellar performances from the newly renovated Ron Hull Studio at Nebraska Public Media, the series spotlights makers debuting original music at local venues. “JAM” explores the artistic journeys and voices of homegrown artists and continues the vibrant tradition of local music on public media.

Wildwoods Band

May 2 – The Wildwoods

With each note, the enchanting folk/Americana trio from Lincoln journeys through the heart of American roots music. Consisting of husband-and-wife duo, Noah and Chloe Gose, and bassist Andrew Vaggalis, The Wildwoods were finalists at the FreshGrass Music Festival Band competition and the “Gems in the Rough” competition in 2023.

May 9 – Rascal Martinez

Channeling fresh Indie-Rock and Americana, the singer/songwriter from Sutherland, Neb., connects with a soulful audience. His musical ability and stories connect him with a wide variety of audiences who can see themselves in his songs. In addition to playing in the U.S., Martinez has spent time on the road in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Canada and Romania.

May 16 – The Talbott Brothers

The duo from Imperial, Neb., is gaining national attention, embodying the soul of Americana with blue-collar grit and authenticity. Grounded in their rural upbringing, brothers Nick and Ty Talbott are building a name for themselves with their soul-stirring lyrics, sibling blood harmonies and rich melodies that represent the ebbs and flows of life.
