LINCOLN, Neb. (Oct. 2, 2025) -- Nebraska Public Media’s “Friday LIVE” arts and entertainment radio show will broadcast live from McCook, Friday, Oct. 17 at the Fox Theatre, 412 Norris Ave.
The public is invited to be part of this free event starting at 10 a.m. CT with performances by Sutherland singer/songwriter Rascal Martinez, who channels fresh Indie-Rock and Americana and was recently featured on Nebraska Public Media’s local music series “JAM;” film composer/pianist Philip Daniel from Lincoln; and McCook seventh grader Annabelle Wilson, the poet chosen for Opera Omaha’s Poetry & Music Project last year.
“Friday LIVE” host Genevieve Randall will give audience members the latest news about music, arts, literature and events happening around the state, while celebrating the stronger and more reliable public radio signal now serving the area.
“With this stronger signal, Nebraskans in the McCook region now have greater access to our trusted news, classical music and arts programming,” said Stacey Decker, general manager/CEO of Nebraska Public Media. “Expanding access to quality public media is central to our mission, and we’re thrilled to celebrate that with this ‘Friday LIVE’ broadcast.”
