Nebraska Public Media is your valued source for live sports—from state championships to college matchups and pro volleyball.

From high school championships to emerging professional leagues, Nebraska Public Media is the unrivaled home for live, local sports across the state.

  • We broadcast the NSAA High School Championships – showcasing top student-athletes in baseball, basketball, bowling, football, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, volleyball and wrestling.
  • In 2024, we made history by giving girls wrestling its own statewide stage – highlighting the sport’s explosive growth and athletes reshaping the competition.
  • We launched the Nebraska High School Classics YouTube series, reviving unforgettable games from our archive. Paired with veteran broadcaster commentary and fresh interviews, these episodes preserve the moments Nebraskans still talk about.
  • Our broadcasts of the Nebraska All-Star Games spotlight top athletes.
  • We take viewers inside Nebraska’s deep-rooted volleyball culture with the State of Volleyball special, and the 2025 Husker Spring Match televised live from Ord. We follow the Omaha Supernovas, Nebraska’s first professional women’s volleyball team.
  • Big Red Wrap-Up offers expert analysis and fan engagement during Husker football season, while our NCAA coverage extends to Husker and Creighton basketball, volleyball, softball and baseball.

All of this is made possible by our newly renovated studio and state-of-the-art equipment in our remote production facility – a 53-foot-long semitrailer that expands to nearly double its size on location. It provides the space and technology to deliver high-quality, live sports coverage across Nebraska – on television, our website, app or streaming platforms accessible to viewers beyond state lines.
