The 20th Lincoln Arts Festival will be in the Haymarket District of Lincoln this Saturday and Sunday

The 2021 Lincoln Arts Festival is back this weekend after it was cancelled because of the pandemic last year. It marks the 20th celebration of the festival, with mediums including drawings, paintings, wood and more on display.

Robert Goldberg works with the Lincoln Arts Council, which helps with the festival. He said the event is free to the public this year.

“It’s all being blocked off from traffic, so it’s a completely pedestrian experience with no traffic,” he said. “There’s going to be these art vendors but also there’s going to be a whole bunch of activities for families and musical performances, so it’s really very much a festival more than it’s ever been.”

The Arts Council says about 8,000 visitors attend the festival each year. There will also be a live stream of the festival online at lincolncalling.com.

About 85 artists from the Midwest and beyond are expected on Saturday and Sunday in the Haymarket District.
